Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, Chef Robert comes from a large family of second-generation Brazilian immigrants. His passion for cooking began early—helping in the kitchen as soon as he could walk, preparing Sunday meals centered around fresh seafood, often caught by family, and traditional Portuguese dishes with a French influence.

At age 11, Robert relocated to New Hampshire, where his culinary experience expanded to include wild game and freshwater fish, replacing the coastal staples of clams, linguiça, and sweet bread. This early exposure to diverse regional ingredients helped shape the adaptable, flavor-forward style he’s known for today.

A graduate of the New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, Vermont, Chef Robert went on to refine his craft in elite kitchens. He cooked for distinguished guests at Bald Peak Colony Club and later helped launch a fine dining restaurant in North Conway, New Hampshire—still in operation today.

In 2016, Chef Robert made his home in Austin, Texas, where he embraced the bold and evolving flavors of Southern BBQ, Tex-Mex, and authentic Mexican cuisine. His cooking now draws from a dynamic blend of influences—Brazilian, Portuguese, New England, Southern, and Mexican—creating unforgettable dishes that are both rooted in tradition and inspired by innovation.
